What Underlayment Do I Choose?
Underlayment is the last line of defense in the protection of your home. Your shingles are water shedding, and the underlayment should be water impermeable.
Each underlayment has some benefits, and some drawbacks. Ventilation is very important consideration when selecting product lines. If you have very little ventilation, you want a product with higher perm rating. If you have adequate ventilation, you want a product with a lower perm rating.
