5” K-Style gutters is the most common size for residential homes. Can hold up to 1.2 gallons of water per foot. 

6” K-Style gutters are recommended when upgrading your gutter system. Can hold up to 2 gallons of water per foot. Recommended for homes with long runs of gutters, stepper pitches, or homeowners worries about clogging.

More capacity means more volume of water to dislodge some clogs, and faster displacement of water. So more force to dislodge clogs.

Gutters are screwed into the fascia for better holding power, and clean exterior look. Doesn’t pull out like your tradition gutter spike that is nailed into the fascia. No one more going up the ladder with a hammer to realign your gutters.

Downspouts carry water from your gutters to the ground (Away from foundation). Bigger downspouts mean more volume of water off your roof, and less likely to clog.

3”x4” downspouts are for 6” gutters
